Frequently asked questions
What retailers does Tag Verify support?
Tag Verify generates standard GS1-128 compliant case and pallet labels for any retailer. On top of that baseline, it has built-in, retailer-specific pallet logic for Walmart (Pallet Pull, Mixed Pallet, and PDQ Display label types), Costco (PO number, carrier, BOL/PRO number, vendor, department, and warehouse fields), and H-E-B (standard and mixed pallet profiles). Kroger, Publix, Sam's Club, Whole Foods, and Sprouts have each been confirmed to require standard GS1-128/SSCC-18 labeling with no retailer-specific fields beyond that baseline.
How does billing work?
Tag Verify is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly through Stripe — see Pricing. You can change plans or cancel anytime from the Billing page in your dashboard, which opens Stripe's own billing portal.
How secure is my data with Tag Verify?
Every customer's data is isolated at the database level — row-level security policies mean no customer can ever access another customer's labels or account data, enforced by the database itself, not just application code. Tag Verify is built on infrastructure independently certified under SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, with data encrypted both in transit and at rest. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor — Tag Verify never sees or stores your card number.
Where is my data stored?
Your account and label data is stored in a managed Postgres database (Supabase), hosted in the United States. See the Privacy Policy for details on what's collected and how it's used.
Can I print a label directly from Tag Verify?
Every label you generate gets a downloadable ZPL file and a visual preview. There's no direct-to-printer button yet — download the ZPL file and send it to your printer with Zebra Browser Print (confirmed working on a Zebra ZD620d) or your printer's own utility.
Can I reuse the same grower or farm details across labels?
Yes — save a grower profile once with its commodity, variety, and origin defaults, and reuse it on every label for that farm. You can also export a profile as a file and import it on a second computer, so a second workstation doesn't need everything retyped.
What if I need a retailer that isn't listed?
Every label still generates a fully GS1-128 compliant barcode and human-readable block by default, and there are general BOL/PO and shipper/receiver reference fields available on any pallet label regardless of retailer. If you need rules specific to a retailer Tag Verify doesn't yet model, let us know — more retailers are added on an ongoing basis.
